I am preparing notes for a remote editor who will receive our demo. There is a texture I want them to assess, but describing it as strange or metallic feels too vague to be useful. I would rather send a precise observation than prescribe a fix. The note would identify the source file and its version. I can mark the beginning and end of the affected passage. I came across suno shimmer as a possible term while reading about generated audio, although I am not sure it fits this particular sound. The note should separate observation from interpretation. A brief description of the playback setup might provide helpful context. I would send the untouched source alongside the short example. Specific processing choices can wait until the editor has listened. Which details would make this handover easier to act on?
